Iron deficiency and its cure

Continuous weakness, yellowish and glow-less face, irritable behaviour, drowsiness etc. may be the symptoms of the iron deficiency in the body. In such cases immediately consult your Doctor.
Iron deficiency (anemia) may be caused by improper food habits, blood loss, mal-absorption sindrome and genetic causes.

Anemia may cause reduction of oxygen level in the body which effects the heart. This may lead to enlargement of heart and breathing problems. This may cause congestive heart failure. it affects physical and mental development of children.

Anemia is more prevalant in women hence they must take special care. Blood loss during manstruation periods can be replenished through balanced diet. Iron suppliments may be needed during heavy bleeding. As per WHO, a healthy lady needs 40 mg of extra iron during pregnency and brest feeding.

Iron suppliments should always by taken under doctor's supervision otherwise you may contract hemochromatosis disease which harms the lever.
